Excellent matchup. I SHOULD vote for Bambi based on pure, objective quality, but Robin Hood is my childhood favorite and I can watch it any time.

I gave a presentation once on Robin Hood movies through the ages, and I pointed out how Disney's Robin Hood uses voice actors from Westerns or country music (Andy Devine as Friar Tuck, Pat Buttram as the Sheriff, Roger Miller as the Rooster Alan-a-Dale) because those would have been vaguely familiar voices in the ears of children who grew up watching television or listening to the radio in the mid-to-late 1960s. The sound effects that play in Nottingham town when the Sheriff is out collecting taxes are also reminiscent of classic Westerns: a blacksmith's anvil, the clink of gold coins, the strum of a guitar.
