A nice matchup. Professor X vs. James T. Kirk. Mutants vs. the crew of the Enterprise. I enjoyed JJ's new vision of Trek, but I found that Michael Fassbender's prescience in First Class As Magneto was top shelf stuff. I will take the Mutants in this tussle.
Yes, Michael Fassbender was easily the best thing about X-Men: First Class, but not even his great performance can lift his film to a win in this matchup. Star Trek is an instant classic.
Star Trek worked better with me.
In my opinion, these two reboots were rather unnecessary, though they're both good movies. X-Men probably felt bigger, but Star Trek was more interesting overall. It's close, but Star Trek wins.
I'll also go with Star Trek. Both flicks completely delivered...but J.J.'s vision was fantastic...

Star Trek all the way.
Love both as they both gave new life to their respective franchises. I'll go with Star Trek for now.

First Class is definitely one of the best X-Men flicks but it's Star Trek all the way here for me.
