Empire Strikes Back would have to be the best sequel of all time right? Maybe the Godfather 2?

Temple of Doom was a letdown as a sequel, nowhere near as good as Raiders of the Lost Ark where as Empire is better then Star Wars.

Great matchup...Empire is the better movie, but I'd watch Indy right now.

Against any star wars film temple of doom will struggle. despite it being a good film, it has a weak plot.

I'm sorry about this next statement: I know I'm in the minority but I didn't like Empire. Star Wars is one of the greatest films ever made but Empire was just okay. Everybody thinks its better than Star Wars and I disagree. It put me to sleep twice and the only interesting part was the end of the second act and into the final act in which the twist of Darth Vader is revealed and the action starts. Having said that, Temple of Doom was no Raiders. It was slap-sticky and stupid but its still freaking Indiana Jones and the action in that movie was pretty darn awesome! Its a very underrated sequal in which I feel deserves to win this choice.

My favorites in their respective series. Generally, I would probably pick "Empire" but at present I'm more into Indy than "Star Wars" so I'm picking "Temple of Doom." There, I said it.

Where Empire was dark in a good way, Temple of Doom was dark in an over-the-top and awkward kind of way. Empire by far.

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom is easily "The Phantom Menace" of the Indiana Jones series because Willie and Short Round were both annoying as Jar Jar Binks and Young Anakin Skywalker in the movie. So The Empire Strikes Back Strikes Temple of Doom out this time.
