No comments? I think this is an excellent matchup. Most will probably choose Empire, but I love the original Planet of the Apes. If it were any other installment of the franchise, it would lose to Empire. But the original beats Empire in my opinion.
Planet of the Apes is fantastic, but I can't pick it over Empire.

I love Planet of the Apes, but even I find it rather dramatically inert (it's just so goofy). The Empire Strikes Back, on the other hand, has nearly everything one could want in a science fiction movie. This one is no contest...

I really enjoy both but I'll take Empire as well.
