I LOVE Lynch’s work but Wild At Heart really suffers from a largely linear story, a lack of eerie atmosphere and characters that survive almost exclusively on charm. Those aren’t his strengths despite the movie having a lot going for it. Scrooged isn’t great and maybe a worse movie but nothing in Wild At Heart compares to Bill Murray’s final speech
Scrooged is eminently better and a holiday classic.
