Aliens wins.
Gladiator murders. Aliens is good, but hasn't aged well and isn't nearly as spectacular in my eyes as everyone claims it to be. Point goes to the director of both a fantastic sword-and-sandal epic and Aliens' more mature, more subtle, more terrifying, more outstanding predecessor.

Without a doubt aliens wins this. gladiator is a good movie yes but Aliens is a Classic. No contest.
