Wow. Two great but completely different movies. If I have to choose right now, I'll go with Shawshank. Aliens could easily win, too, depending on my mood.

Aliens is so damn good....yet it isn't in the same zip code as Shawshank. That's how good The Redemption is....

I'm glad I finally decided to rewatch Shawshank. It moved up over 100 spots. One of the films it passed is in fact Aliens.
Aliens is actually one of those movies that made a big move up my rankings after rewatching it. I still have it FAR behind The Shawshank Redemption, however.

Aliens is 6 on my list. Shawshank is not in the top 5 so Aliens wins. Shawshank is in the top 100 though.
