My formula for deciding between two movies is usually: 1) Is this a movie I do/would own? and 2) If this movie were to come on television on a Saturday afternoon, would I watch this movie, even if it were editted for content? Both these movies past the first test for me. X2 was my favorite of the X-Men movies that have been made. Bloodsport is a movie I've enjoyed since childhood, catching it on Tuesday nights and Saturday afternoons. Were I to have to choose between the two, I know that I've gone to the Frank Dux well more than I've gone to Charles Xavier, et al. There's no shame in that.
Oh there's definitely some shame in it. I like Jean Claude, but he's just not a great screen fighter when you think of all the greats out there.
