A couple of movies about a guy taking on evil with endings that annoyed me. I guess I felt more of an emotional investment in Edge of Darkness, because the Defendor character is sort of Forrest Gump-ish (though not as annoying or romanticized). The Defendor ending is more preachy while Edge of Darkness goes the cheesy route. Actually, I would say that Defendor reminds me of Pay It Forward sort of. Any movie that reminds me of Forrest Gump and Pay It Forward can't be good. And I like Woody Harrelson more than Mel Gibson generally, but that doesn't help.
