The Decameron is like watching a series of dirty jokes. The religious and sexual humor probably seemed more risqué back in the day. I never laughed while watching it, though I guess a few scenes were mildly amusing. Idiocracy actually does make me laugh, even if it's not consistently as fun to watch as it could be. When it does work it can be hilarious.
