These were my two favorite movies from summer 2013. Tough call. I'm going with Star Trek, because, surprisingly, it was the less sentimental and more thoughtful film of the two. Not to mention the villain is much better!
Kruger was an awesome villain. Same level as John Harrison in my opinion. I do pick Star Trek. These were also my faves from summer 2013.

I'm gonna have to go with Trek, it was just more entertaining, exhilarating and involving.
