This is actually rather difficult. Both films are Type B Star Trek -- the movie variety with a conflict-driven story and violence in place of exploration. Honestly, these films really aren't that far apart in quality, despite what other Trekkies might say. But then again, I'm that weirdo who thinks that Insurrection was the best TNG film!

I agree with Protozoid for the most part. With that said I prefer First Contact, mostly for the cast.

How did Into Darkness do it? How did they make it so good? How many minutes of Into Darkness and First Contact?
