How does one choose? A totally unnecessary remake (Assault) versus an almost wholly unsatisfying sequel to Rocky Horror? Shock does have a couple of decent songs (Little Black Dress), whereas Assault made me feel absolutely nothing but exhaustion over the current state of action films. I'll take feeling something over nothing any day, even if Shock pissed me off over its many missed opportunities and overall shabbiness. Assault, on the other hand, never should have been attempted, even if it is the better made film.
