Elvira, Mistress of the Dark does have a lot of dumb humor, but it's a movie I still look back fondly on. Grindhouse is only half-entertaining due to the crappy Death Proof portion. If Elvira was just going up against Planet Terror, my decision might be different. But, I have to look at Grindhouse as a whole and that means factoring in Death Proof, which is over an hour of movie that I don't want to watch again. I actually think Elvira is more erotically appealing than Rose McGowan, which also makes a difference.
