Most of the time, I can't stand Terry Gilliam. He has a good sense of style but very little substance. 12 Monkeys on the other hand is one of his best films that I can enjoy again and again. Amelie also has a great sense of style with it's reds and blues and yellows. Yet it is also such a heartwarming film that touches me deeply whenever I see it. It's a close call, but Amelie it is.
Both good films, but sci-fi wins almost every time.
