I thought The Letter was a well-crafted film, with one of Bette Davis's better performances and a great supporting turn by Henry Stephenson. But it's a somber affair and tends to drag in the second act. I don't remember Walter Mitty very well, but I'm going to give it the benefit of the doubt and choose Danny over Bette.
