Midnight in Paris vs. Beginners

Both have a sweet sense about them, but I think Christopher Plummer's presence alone carries "Beginners" to a whole deeper level. Owen Wilson was likable and the rest of his cast was (Cotillard, McAdams, Bates) all played their parts well, but there's a reason why Plummer won an Oscar.
