"The one with the plot?" I don't get it, because Up is certainly not without a plot. Both of these movies had the eye candy, and I don't even mind that Avatar was somewhat unoriginal in its story, but Up had me laughing and crying--sometimes at the same time--and any movie that can make its audience run the entire gamut of human emotion--as opposed to just saying, "Wow, that was cool"--is truly something special. Up is my favorite movie (at least so far) from 2009.
I believe by one with the plot he was referring to UP and Flickchart cordially fucked him into submission. Least I ope it's a mistake.

Up has plenty of plot and heart and it slays Goliath.
@cleckley: Ah yes, you're right. I shouldn't assume. Especially since it's easy enough for one movie to overtake another in the rankings without pitting that pair against each other.

Up wins I believe. Although Avatar was mighty impressive with its landscape shots and action sequences.

The weird sex stuff in avatar took me out of it. Up is my favorite Pixar film
