Man of Steel vs. Kick-Ass

KA > MoS.....

Man of Steel is how you should make a superhero movie. Kick Ass is how you shouldn't.

^Ofcourse; make every single character bland, characterless and completely lacking in personality, make the hero cause almost as much destruction as your villain, have flashbacks to your hero's backstory in completely random spots of your movie, make your hero NOT known by its actual name ("Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's CLARK KENT THE ALIEN GUY") and have your script consist 95% of expository dialogue. I don't want to be the missionary here who tries to convert people to thinking Kick-Ass is the greatest superhero film ever and I'm not trying to (even though I'm one of its biggest fans on this site), but I'm sorry, Man of Steel is in my eyes pretty much everything a superhero film shouldn't be.

Yeah, aside from some decent battles, Man of Steel wasn't very good. Kick Ass has some flaws, like the title character who becomes more annoying with each viewing, but it's still more thrilling overall. I think my patience for Man of Steel began to wear thin when Russell Crowe rides that bird creature. Kick Ass created a greater emotional investment in the success of the heroes. I didn't really get that with Man of Steel as much.

I hate picking the lesser of two evils.

Kick Ass easily.

I'm switching to Superman
