The best of the early funnies against one the all time Woody Allen classics. Manhattan annoys me, but I love it (which I think is what Woody Allen was trying to say about the city...), while Sleeper doesn't make me laugh any more. It feels like what might have happened if Benny Hill had been a member of Monty Python. Manhattan all the way.
Sleeper still makes me laugh. Manhattan doesn't hold up after frequent viewings.
