The Iron Giant vs. Star Trek: First Contact

Still by far my favorite Star Trek movie (and yes that does include this year's phenomenal reboot), but The Iron Giant will always be one of my favorite movies period. More care was taken in the creation of this grossly underrated animated film than with most live action features. Every second of every scene was staged perfectly to entertain and advance the story to an ending that is absolutely perfect.
