Snowpeircer is still the best science-fiction film of 2014 for me

Probably the two best SciFi movies of the year. But while Snowpiercer hits a wall in its third act, Interstellar hits an emotional high.

Interstellar was as close to spiritual experience as I suspect I'll ever come while watching a film.

Both films impressed me on so many levels. Great sci-fi. Interstellar wins for the grandiose experience.
Snowpiercer has a lot less problems and I guess better execution of "themes" but it just doesn't match the spectacle of Interstellar.
Snowpiercer really didn't do it for me.

Interstellar by far. A film that was a an absolute experience in every aspect. Snowpiercer just didn't do enough for me.
