I loved Scott Pilgrim, but I can't put it over Metropolis and what that film did for story, acting, and production.

Metropolis is a milestone in cinema. I've seen the newly restored version which does make more sense than before. Some of the imagery is stunning. Scott Pilgrim is also incredibly good. Even if you can't enjoy all the references to geek culture, you can still enjoy the visuals and the wonderfully subtle (yes, I said subtle) love story at it's heart. Having said that, Metropolis is still the better film.

I love Scott Pilgrim,but Metropolis is in a whole other league.
