At the Earth's Core vs. Soldier

At the Earth's Core has hilariously cheesy monsters and cool set design. The story and characters are secondary at best. Soldier spends more time giving the viewer a reason to care when the climactic battle rolls around. With Core, I didn't much care if the good guys won except on a superficial level. I primarily watched it because Caroline Munro was in it, anyway, but she was given very little to do. So, Soldier is more exciting and dramatically satisfying.
