White Zombie vs. Zapped!

I'm a bit surprised that these movies are so similar in theme, given that both films feature lead characters that use supernatural powers to manipulate women for their own carnal gratification. I give the win to White Zombie because at least it makes it clear that Bela Lugosi's Legendre is indeed the villain where as Zapped! treats Baio's Barney Springboro as some kind of male hero, indicative of its era in the early 80's and supremely cringeworthy to witness 35 years later, especially looking at Baio's character as a human being since. I'll go with the classic landmark horror film instead of a 40-50 year old man's wet dream.
