Here is a match up for the ages. Two science fiction giants here. The Avengers is just too strong for it to lose to Star Wars here.

Star Wars is legendary. There is no way Avengers can live up to it. Wait until the hype wears off of The Avengers, and you will probably see it decline on the list.

I completely agree with @robmoviefilms13. Star Wars is a revolutionary cinematic masterpiece and a great popcorn movie. The Avengers is only one of those. I'll give you a hint: It's not a revolutionary cinematic masterpiece.

Star Wars has been one of my favorite movies for over 30 years. That being said, make no mistake: I am not a Star Wars apologist. The prequels killed that fan girl instinct. I'm picking Star Wars because it's a better movie.

I saw Star Wars a few hours ago for the millionth time, and I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but age it seems dosen't do Star Wars well. The Avengers iv'e seen two times in theaters and i enjoyed both viewings extremely, so in this contest, the fresh comes out on top

I'm young and Star Wars, while keeping the magic that made it so special, doesn't age as well as Empire Strikes Back. I would name The Avengers its contemporary succesor.
