Wild Zero vs. Cannibal!: The Musical

Both movies are cult hits for the generation after Generation X. Cannibal! being the movie that launched Trey Parker and Matt Stone's careers and Wild Zero being the most epic Japanese film written around a rock and roll band of all time. Both movies had surprisingly excellent, albeit ridiculous over-the-top scripts and stories, both were musicals with excellent soundtracks. I narrowly cede the victory to Cannibal! for sparking the longer and more profitable legacy and having the more memorable lines and songs.
