The Gold Rush vs. Tillie's Punctured Romance

Supposedly, Tillie's Punctured Romance is the first feature-length comedy film ever made...and it sucks. It's just a bunch of pratfalls and people getting kicked in the ass. So boring. I suppose it's worth watching (once) to see a young Charlie Chaplin do his thing. The Gold Rush, though, shows Chaplin in his prime and at the peak of his creative powers. For that, and the fact that it's just an infinitely more entertaining film, I say The Gold Rush wins.
