The Thing wasn't a bad movie so much as not different enough from the original to stand out. Hanna is a more annoying film, yet it still held my interest more consistently. So, this is a bit tough. I doubt that I'd rewatch The Thing any time soon unless I had nothing else to do. Hanna at least has more replay value since it isn't so similar to another movie that I like more. If you've seen the Carpenter version of The Thing, then the new one lacks many surprises.
