Interesting display of Cruise's abilities, but Kubrick wins. Kubrick almost always wins. Plus, I'd almost always watch him fool around with his (ex-)wife rather than fool around with an idiot savant.

Here’s a term you may not be aware of "suspension of disbelief". Watch Eyes Wide Shut and Rain Man as if Tom Cruise was a nobody and you will see a damn cool mothertrucker. Rain Man is very good with two complex characters. Eyes Wide Shut, on the other hand, is one of the most meaningful and complex movies ever made! The attention to detail and the depth in the writing is so damn good!
Kubrick always raises the bar and Eye Wide Shut was his final masterpiece.
