Two very... not good John Carpenter movies. Guess I'll go with Ghosts of Mars because it's a little more interesting and at least has a somewhat original and coherent story, where Vampires is just a typical vampire movie with battle scene after battle scene and very little else. There's a little more, not much more but a little more, in Ghost of Mars.

Ghosts of Mars is what I call a cult movie! It's strictly for true Carpenter fans. Vampires...blergh. No substance at all. It's not a problem actually, but that movie's plainly bad. It's John Carpenter going looney tunes.
