The Wrath of con was a nice entry into a decent franchise, but Star Wars defined a generation and changed cinema, so its not really a tough choice.

The Wrath of Khan is in my top 3 or 4 Trek films, for sure, but it doesn't compare with the original (and still the best) of the Star Wars saga.

"A New Hope" has its moments, and I love Alec Guinness as Obi-Wan, but it's got way too many boring passages to top "The Wrath of Khan."

Very tough. I love both films, and I can't really explain why I choose The Wrath of Khan over Star Wars. Maybe because Ricardo Montalban is so amazing as Khan, or because it's the best film with the original crew, while Star Wars is surpassed by its two sequels. I don't know.

Oof. So Star Wars begins with a huge jolt, then stays languid for an hour before launching into definitive action sequences. Khan takes half an hour to get going, and then stays full-tilt until the end. I think Khan takes the slight edge.

I'm far more of a Trekkie than a Star Wars fan. That's enough right there, but Khan is too good to ignore anyway.

Great pairing. Star Wars still wins hands down though.

This is old Star Trek at its most awesome, but even then it couldn't be compared with the most important sci-fi film ever and one of my all-time absolutely favorites...
