Two films set in the Roman era, both overladen with CGI, and both involve gladiators seeking revenge. But Pompeii has the problem of adding CGI volcano eruptions to its CGI depictions of a city, and the added liability of Kiefer Sutherland in a major supporting role. I'll go with the Oscar-winner
