Beyond does retro but advances their characters, Awakens feels like elegantly running in place.
Still Star Wars....but Beyond was fantastic...

Star Trek Beyond is really good, but it doesn't come close to TFA, in my opinion.

Think Star Trek Beyond was good, FORCE was fantastic!

Loved both, but favoring THE FORCE AWAKENS by a hair. BEYOND's final act felt rushed. Thrall had an interesting back story, but was underdeveloped as the villain. Snoke is the weakest character in the Star Wars canon, but Kylo Ren made for a richer antagonist than either.
