two ambitious films. and one good film.
American Beauty was one of those first movies that I saw that made me become a movie lover. It's always going to be on my personal top movies of all time. It's very funny/charming but also successfully deals with some very dramatic issue while Southland Tales attempts to be something special but can never reach the level of greatness.
