The Action and neo dark -animation makes me want to pick Akira such a great film but Up has beauty laughs and structure i guess its apples to oranges in the genres but UP wins.
I would say Up is the clear winner. Apart from the mindbending ending Akira is a pretty standard by the numbers monster movie.
