Casino Royale vs. Batman Begins

Tough choice...two great reboots, both correcting some egregious errors made in previous interpretations. Stylish choices, clear filmic visions in both, great action sequences, and protagonists made more real and identifiable.

Wanna reboot a dying franchise? See Batman Begins (2005), Casino Royale (2006) and Star Trek (2009). I'm with Batman all the way here.

Couldn't put it any better herowrship, although I think Casino Royale just nicks it for me.

Batman Begins for me. It felt right from the first minute, while it took some time for me to get used to the "new" Bond style.

Both are outstanding started films. For me, Batman Begins takes it slightly b/c Bruce's journey had a more visceral impact for me than Bond's.

Setting aside everything else about the characters and franchises, etc. and focusing exclusively on these two movies, I have to go with "Casino Royale." It was simply more satisfying--particularly at the end.

Both equally great reboots. I went with Batman because of Chris Nolan, alone.

Batman's a whole lot more exciting.

The Bond movie was more exciting. BB is solid though.

Casino Royale was an amazing film

Casino Royale is better

Both in my top 20, Batman wins.

Oh my GOD. How do you choose between these two perfect films? These are seriously two of the greatest films I have ever seen. Daniel Craig plays an amazing Bond, but then you put him up against Neeson as Ra's Al Ghul, and Bale as Batman... That is almost unfair to ask.

Batman Begins was fine...but absolutely nothing that blew my mind. Casino Royale on the other had totally revived my interest in Bond. I'm going with 007....

I was really confused during most of Casino Royale. Well, it started off as confusion, eventually I just didn't care anymore.

two desperately needed reboots that added more layers to the characters over all casino royale was better.

"The name's Bond. James Bond." "I'M BAAATMAAAN. NICE COAT."

"I'M NOT WEARING HOCKEY PAAAADS!"

As much as I love Batman Begins, Casino Royale is my favourite Bond movie in close contention with Skyfall. It's very close, but Bond beats Bruce.

Batman Begins.

These are I my opinion the 2 greatest reboots ever made and they are right net to each other on my list. Batman beats Bond.

Extremely close, and both very good, but the messy quick-cut editing and choreography, as well as the overbearing dog-shit brown colour palette (things which the subsequent films thankfully dispensed with) mean that Batman Begins doesn't hold up quite as well as Casino Royale for me. Both deservedly in my top 50 though.

Bartender: Shaken or stirred? James Bond: Do I look like I give a damn? Casino Royale

Batman Begins is the far better reboot in my opinion. I enjoyed Casino Royale but it never really stood out for me. Batman Begins remains one of my favorite movies.

Batman wins. Though I have to admit, that I do love me some Casino Royale as well.

Bond

BB

I have more nostalgia attachment to Batman Begins because I've watched it more. It has a memorable, quotable script and I remember enjoying the way it changed how we thought about the elements that made up the Batman mythos. What brings Casino Royale out ahead is pure thrills, and sustained, clear-eyed action with great energy and immense scale. Nothing in Begins is quite as well-realized as the first 20 minutes of Casino Royale, though the ending on the train comes close.

2162 days later, I still favor CASINO ROYALE.

Casino Royale is far greater and wins with ease.

Really tough choice, but Batman Begins takes it for me.

Both are such great movies that reinvented their franchises for the 21st century in a gritty and serious way. Personally, I just prefer Casino Royale!

Batman Begins is the superior reboot.

I'm sorry, batman was a good movie but i can't love it because I'm a marvel boi.

Being a DC fan, I still love a lot of Marvel movies, it makes no sense. Casino Royale is great because of Batman Begins.

Wow. Literally next to each other in my list. Begins in an extremely close one

I'm going with Casino Royale on this one
