The Ghibli princess showdown. Kaguya is the more perfectly-crafted gem, lacking Mononoke's flaws of excess. Mononoke reaches headier, more sublimely weird territory in moments, and in the originality of its conception. Kaguya, ultimately, is the more useful film. It's a close call, so I have to use my tiebreaker, "Would Rather Think About," and choose Kaguya.
