Two of the greatest, most absurdly entertaining comedies from Hollywood's classic age. Billy Wilder's electrifying script propels "Some LIke It Hot" to a close victory for me.
Arsenic and Old Lace is a little too absurd, in my book. It doesn't even feel like a Frank Capra film. Some Like It Hot, however, is pure Billy Wilder (and that's a good thing). His flick wins...
Some Like it Hot, in a romp...
Damn. To of the greatest comedies ever made right here. As much as I love Billy Wilder, I'm giving the slight edge to Capra's film. It's Cary Grant's Cary Grant over Tony Curtis' Cary Grant for me.
