Interesting! This is making me stop and think really hard, but in the end, Gary Oldman tips the scales. He's just too awesome.

Gary Oldman has got to be the deciding factor for me. Ronin just wasn't a GREAT villain, and all other things being pretty equal puts GotG just a bit over the top.
