Goldfinger is truly one of the best Bond movies ever made and outclasses Maltese Falcon.

The Maltese Falcon easily. I've said for a long time now that Bogart was Bond before there ever was a 007.

Tough call since I consider both of these movies to be masterpieces. Goldfinger is just sheer excitement and has some of the best moments and characters in the franchise and Maltese Falcon has a intriging mystery and some of the best examples of acting in film history. As a Bond fan, it hurts me to go against the film that started the formula that would be used countless times over the next 53 years but The Maltese Falcon is so bloody good!
