Pity Gary Ross doesn't make more movies. I enjoyed both of these, but the way he used the Seabiscuit plot to tell the story of the depression wowed me even more than the way he brought Suzanne Collins's bestseller to the screen.

Seabiscuit, while pleasant and easily recommendable, doesn't do anything very unique or unexpected. The Hunger Games, on the other hand, is brutal, intense, and will keep you on the edge of your seat.
