Both are very fine films, equally challenging and compelling. I think the edge has to belong to DOGVILLE for coming first, and because Nicole Kidman gave what is possibly her best performance. Bryce Dallas Howard just isn't as charismatic or talented as Kidman was. But, again, I thought both films were superb.
