I love the themes of Paths of Glory more than probably any other film I've ever seen. And Kirk Douglas is masterful as Dax.

I didn't find anything deep about 2001, I just found it boring. Paths of Glory is a much better film.

2001 should have been short and sweet, and straight to the point like Paths of Glory, maybe then it would be a bearable film to watch.

I loved Paths of Glory in every sense of the word. Even though it's not the most entertaining movie ever, it's still so deep and touching and shit. Ofcourse, 2001 isn't all that entertaining either. But it's pretty powerful, masterful e meaningful. Tough, close one. But I guess I'm picking 2001, because I'm more of a sci-fi movie.
