Probably my two favourite westerns. Gorgeous, amazing performances and great pacing. Good Bad and Ugly will take it because of the powerful way the music is used.

Agree. Two amazing but very different types of westerns. GBU is a sweeping epic with badass action, great locations and memorable characters. Jesse James, on the other hand, is presented as a psychoanalytical, historical epic- rather than a traditional western. Casey Affleck and Brad Pitt portray their characters brilliantly as well. Going with Jesse.

Jesse for me, though i like the Coen's True Grit and Fist Full of Dollars the best. These are great westerns and the music and cinematography of both are amazing along with the performances but i have to say the performances of Jesse are just a bit better.
