I'm fully aware of the flak Predator 2 gets but at least it feels like a sequel and not a remake of the original. Predator 2 is like a really bizarre mixture of various genres--L.A. crime thriller, sci-fi, slasher, detective noir, conspiracy drama--and does a wonderful job in everything. It's freaking thrilling and reveals loads of interesting stuff about the creature's code of honor, weaponry, hunting tactics, and so on. What's even more fascinating is how it turns the sphere of civilized society into a jungle-like hunting ground as if to say: the security and safety is all an illusion. It wins this in a landslide although Predators is cool, too.
I also feel that Predator 2 has aged well and has earned its spot amongst other cheesy action movies of the 20th Century (double entendre) that is very entertaining and rewatchable.

Predators was mainly a retread of the perfect original while Predator 2 at least tried to do something different and expanded on the Predator's code. Edge: Predator 2
Predator 2 was the last Predator movie that was worth a damn. Why can't they let this die now?
^ Cuz some damn fool accused the Predator series of bein' the best!
