In Groundhog Day, Bill Murray needs about 5,000 years to become a better person and prepare to make sweet love to Andie MacDowell. In Beerfest, a bunch of devoted heroes risk life and limb to become the best beer drinkers they can be. One of them even dies. They don't get 5,000 chances to get it right, but they still come out on top. I think the better movie, and message, is clear.
