A couple of movies about a guy who goes on a killing spree to save a young girl. In Taxi Driver, Jodie Foster dresses like a hooker because she is a hooker. In The Professional, Natalie Portman dresses like a hooker because...? Anyway, Taxi Driver is gritty and dark without a bunch of sentimental, overly stylized, obnoxious, excessively cute bullshit (like The Professional and just about every other Luc Besson movie). Travis Bickle is a more interesting and believable character in every way than Léon, who is unfortunately stuck in a syrupy and artificial story.

Leon is very good, But Taxi Driver is better for sure.
