The only Independence Day that I really like is the song by Bruce Springsteen. Even Jeff Goldblum isn't worth giving this film a watch. While The Dark Knight isn't the first great superhero film in my opinion (Richard Donner's Superman is a classic!), it still improved on everything that came before. It's really masterful and it simply obliterates here.
