I love both...but the performance by Heath Ledger was near perfect...but I was going to go live on the moon, have no communication with earth, which would I take with me, and which would I leave forever behind on earth ? Carpe diem...or bask in darkness? Dead Poets Society wins this round

Dead Poet's Society was one of the most influential movies in my life (besides Remember the Titans). "Carpe Diem"...The single best phrase ever spoken by man.

Yeah, I'm a sucker for the sappy ones, I'll admit it, and I was like eleven when Dead Poets Society came out, so I had a major crush on Ethan Hawke and while there are movie snobs out there who will tell you that their attraction to anyone in a film does not come into play when they are deciding it's cinematic value, but I say it's hooey, or at least kinda hooey. I liked the Dark Knight, sorta, but it was kinda long and brooding for me, okay, that's all I got, I guess that I'm going Dead Poets Society.
